Daily Reflection with Fr. Tomas Del Valle-Reyes
Dear Friends: Praying is not easy. Our daily routine calls for our full attention. And the world around us puts little value on prayer; our lives are full of material things but at the same time are getting emptier in God’s value.
For this reason, I will post a daily reflection and as you visit this site may the Holy Spirit within you come to your aid and guide you gently to the God who loves you.
Gracious God, in the vulnerability of a child, we recognize our own fragility.
In their tender innocence, we are reminded that life is meant to be lived with curious and joyful abandon.
Help us, who are no longer children, to retain the freshness of childhood and to be the protectors and mentors of those whose lives are just beginning.
May we see in their eyes the clear window of heaven.
Guide us in the ways to keep all children safe and in your great love, O Lord, hold them in your peaceful embrace so they are not overcome by loneliness, fear, or danger.
We ask this for the sake of your love.
Amen.

Don't wait for some distant day to come, it may be too late before you've even begun.
Not everyone will agree with all you decide.
Be true to yourself first and foremost.
The only important thing in life is what you do with the time you spend here on earth.
Don't cloud today with things that can't be undone.
You have no more control over yesterday or tomorrow, than you do the raging of your passions.
Do not quiet these dreams nor quench your desires.
For if you do, your journey is ended.
You have only today to begin anew and follow your dreams.
For in the end all we have are our memories.
When the twilight comes to us, let there be, no excuses, no explanations, no regrets!

Dear God, heavenly Father, I thank you for my life on this whole wide world,
however challenging and difficult it may seem sometimes or not.
Thank you for teaching me to understand and be understood,
to love and be loved, to make my own decisions and respect the
decisions of others, to learn from my mistakes and not judge others,
to laugh when I am happy, to cry when I am sad.
Thank you for my friends, my fellow priests, my parish, and the people that
come to us and for every other living creature I meet along my journey.
Thank you for giving me strength to overcome harsh conditions and accepting them, and do what's right for the benefit of the greater good, to rise above negativity and all to be done on your name.
In the Name of the Father and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen
